fyi running latest trainer with steam version, I get "trainer activated" from main menu, in game I try to toggle cheats with 1 2 3 etc, and nothing happens and I don't hear "cheat activated". My numlock is on. I've tried restarting, same thing.
I start the newst Version of sr3-Trainer as Admin. I start the game in DX10/11-Mode When i want to load my savegame, the game will stuck at loading-screen.
When i start the Game in CD10/11 without trainer, the game works.
but why? normally it makes no difference? Even German Versions worked with other games - why not with this? Is it sooo much work or are there not enough german members?
I think or well guess that it's the way that they did the censoring of the game via changing stuff in the exe thus the addresses the trainer normally hooks to for it's instructions to work (Or something like that.) will no longer be found since the exe is compiled differently or rather they're in a different area of the exe and would require a separate trainer.
I'm not too in-depth in how these things work but I know some of the basics at least, doesn't really help much but I think this might work as a adequate explanation at least.
Downside is that a modified exe might not go directly via Steam any longer so you might miss out on achievements and what else it can provide but it usually still handles DLC and you'll get the game uncensored this way as well.
(I could be wrong with how this works but I am fairly certain the exe file differs as to block out certain effects and prevent modding to add them back easily without altering said exe or replacing it with a different version.)
