How do I get the Shout gate open....I left the room then tried to to go back in...damn gate is up.

HELP_PLEASEEE, the claw is on the pedestal right in front of the door, a fire trap will trigger when you take it.
To get the shout gate to open, grab the potion off the pedestal in front of the gate.
jdavi964, I think you either need to re-run the zone again, i.e. enter from the door that loads into the shout gate map or hit the pedestal in front of the shout gate again. I had the same problem, but I can't remember how I got the gate to lower the spikes again. The easy way would be to open the console menu and type in "plyaer.setgs fjumpheightmin 500" which should allow you now to jump over the shout gate spikes, since as far as I can remember the spikes didn't go all the way to the roof.
I found the last 2 in the catacombs [in the soul gem fire room, in the word of power room], where is the 1st vessel at?

Ok, I know have the 3 vessels but the quest won't advance onto the boss fight part of the quest. I know that you an use the "setstage questname stagenumber" console command to force the quest to advance, but i don't know what the quest id name is, does anyone know?

Thank you slowpoke. Im assuming my destruction or shouts may have thrown the claw into a corner and I will be checking soon. Thanks for the help this has been really getting to me.

yes, for anyone who has the problem with the 3rd vessel being stuck in the shout room, just try reactivating the pressure pannel with anything from your inventory... that worked for me. Thanks
