Thanks for the updated trainer guys, appreciate it
Just as a pre-emptive warning from lurking the kerberos forums, they have a big update planned this week that'll probably alter quite a few major issues.

I don't know if you guys will be doing a trainer for every update, or just the big ones, but regardless I appreciate it One turn research is a godsend!

Soon as the next version trainer is done, i'm not using steam to launch my game anymore. I don't want new versions of it, happy the way it is after todays patch.
    I'm a cat, I'm infinity by default ;)

If you have a particular planet that churns out ships, you're better off just altering the ship construction rate of the planet itself by editing the savegame file (thread on the board here). Makes the game so much fun having everything take 1 turn to build, even with larger invoices of multiple ships.

Also, do you mean right click->relocate fleet? (you need a naval base with upgraded docks at the planet you want to permanently move a fleet to.

So...I tried both methods of getting the game to run in 32-bit. I got it to run by jerry riggin, and then telling the game to prefer to run in x64 bit. When it I run it in the second option, the trainer recognizes, but the options wont work in a saved game that was started in an x64. Any ideas?

Yeah I definitely understand you. I'd be completely lost if I hadn't played the first game, and even that doesn't help as this one has changed heaps.

I don't want to repeat this if you already know, but just in case let say some things first so I can get an idea of what you mean.

Are you aware that the game is now 'mission based,' where fleets of ships have a set 'naval base' that they always come back to. i.e. if their set base in on system A, and you told them to colonize system B (and remember you need a colonizer/biome ship in that fleet to be able to do so), then if you right click system B -> click 'colonize' -> and confirm, they go colonize it, and once finish return to system A.

Another thing is that you can build naval bases even in systems/planets that you haven't colonized yet. For instance a certain system that's acts as a strategic chokepoint, but the planets are uncolonizable (climate hazard too high).

And what I meant earlier about 'relocating' isn't needed for colonizing. You can colonize a planet without building a naval base on it. You just need to 1) have surveyed the planet, 2) have a fleet with a colonizer/biome ship in it, and 3) right click->colonize->confirm. Relocating just changes where a fleet would return to after missions. So lets say you've sent fleet alpha which are docked on a naval base on system A to colonize system B. Then you also relocated the alpha fleet to system B, and then told them to colonize system C. By relocating the fleet to system B's naval base that you would've built, once they've colonized system C, they'd return to system B instead of system A.

Hehe, I would've explained that in 2 secs with a drawing lol. Anyway let me know if you still have problems There's no decent manual as of yet, but a sots2 wikia has been written up by other sots2 players, so check it out for just other basic info.
