The version given to Steam is the Close Beta Build (around 2-3 weeks ago). It was a mistake.
The retail version (as of 2 hours ago via twitter) was just submitted to Steam. After steam tests it and propagates to all the servers it should be available to everyone.
Even with the update the game is still a buggy pile of crap, I haven't noticed much of a difference at all. The developers still need to patch this big time. People on the steam and kerberos/paradox forums are royally ****ed off. They dropped the ball big time on this game.
If might take a few days or more for them to fix this game with patches.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------- EA is the anti-Midas touch company. Everything they touch turns to garbage.
To make it full-screen, set the resolution in the launcher as high as your monitor can take...then when in the game screen press ALT-ENTER just like you would in other Windows programs to switch from window to full and back.
But yeah, severely disappointed with it. The option screen has a bunch of arrows but the options are all blank next to them. I can use my video card's application settings to force it to high quality anisotropics & other details. But I'd rather get the game refunded and put towards a preorder of Saints Row the Third or else L.A. Noire preorder.
But since I've enjoyed their previous game and I know Steam messed up by presenting the wrong version too early...I'm going to do what I did with From Dust...gonna hang in there and keep the game, wait for things to work out with patches & trainers (no rush on the trainer...I've always been happy with the end results the guys here turn out). So I'll just play something else until the dust settles...and get my Steam patches as they come down from their server.
I just order d the game on STEAM and while i was waiting for it to download, i do what i always do, i come to CH.
Thatīs when i learn about the problems the game is having.
So i guess i wont be playing the game for a few days then.

This was the developers fault this time, not steams. The dev said they sent the wrong version. guess gonna have to wait a while as they patch it up.
I removed the game until they patch it up. Guess I will go back to SoTS 1

I think all of those people complaining must have never played SOTS1 until well after the final version was released. Kerberos and paradox in general always release horrible buggy games, but while a lot of companies abandon stuff like that, they always patch it all up in the end.
funnily enough all other retailers have pushed back the release date to mid November. Which makes it appaernat the the version that we now have is still a 'beta' version. It seems they were rushed to release it in its current state ahead of schedule.
