You either have to run Notepad as an administrator and open the file, or copy the file to the desktop, edit it, save and copy back to the game folder.

As an update in 2019, if someone - like me - is still playing Fifa Manager 12, sadly this cheat is not working anymore, unless you still have the original CD-DVD to install the game.

They, the developers they fixed it, as I've just downloaded it via Origin, on a new laptop, and this cheat is not working anymore, as such I'd say this cheat is obsolete now...

I still have the game on a desktop, the initial install and it's working there, but not a new fresh install of the game from Origin EA portal, so I'm almost positive that the game developers fixed it somehow, to prevent us to use it...

Sadly for me, I don't have the initial CD-DVD, since it's been a long time and I've switched to digital download from Origin on almost all the games I have from EA...

If any of you guys find a way to work around it, please post it here, some of us still play this game...

Also I can't seems to find a cheat to increase the manager level, I am sick and tired to start every new game with the default level 6 when in previous saved games I've reached the maxim level 12, so if someone can come up with a cheat to increase the manager level will be great, will worth a premium paid membership for me here...
