Note: Patch 1.3.0 was released for me just now. It was a 1.3 GB update for some and 20MB for others.
Some Steam users are reporting that Dead Island now crashes on startup.

Here's one solution: "Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\dead island\DI\Data\game.ini
Locate: Locale('En') and change to Locale('en')"

They just patched this thing a week ago, and now another one.

Obviously the 1.2.1 Trainer won't work with this regardless of the mechanizations employed to the game.ini file.

This was all about co-op play leveling I guess, which I don't play anyway, being a single player kinda guy who mods stuff when possible...

So Fine!

I will patiently await the updated trainer and play string with my cat leaving Logan to fend for himself on an island full of rather robust ambulatory rotting corpses.

And I had that boomerang thing working pretty well too!

And ps... my game.ini file already had the lowercase "en" so there!

I also had the 20mb patch, seems everyone is having the same problem as I so ill try the En to en change and see how we go, hopefully this wont interfere with anything once CH releases a 1.3 trainer...

I press f1 on the main menu and during game play to see which way might work but no luck, game crashes once the trainer is detected...

Pls CH make a new Trainer for the 1.3 version of the game, its a super fun game and the options you give us on the trainer make the game so much more enjoyable!!!
