I also want to say I am using old ati drivers (just over a year) and have not patched the drivers at all and the game runs perfectly at max settings on 2x 4890s in crossfire.
Now, the rest of the story. This morning I started a new game using the Hard setting. The trainer worked for about 10 minutes then locked up at a scene change. Restarted the game, went through the whole rigamarole, hit F1,got the message, and guess what, the num pad keys didn't work. Went through the whole bit again, and the num pad keys still didn't work. Disgusted, I quit for a while. This afternoon I tried the game and the trainer again. Only this time I DIDN'T hit the esc key before I hit the Ctrl-Alt-Delete. The game wasn't paused. For Cryin Out Loud, the trainer worked just fine. Once again, it seemed to take a minuet or so after hitting F1, before num pad keys began to work. I've been playing the game from 6m till now , about 20 minuets till 10m. It did quit on me, about 3 times. But going through the whole (boring), trainer start-up again, the game has worked fine. I don't understand why this works for me. Maybe we ought to call Mulder and Scully. This is turning into some kind of weird X file. Keep trying guys, and I wish ya luck.
working 100% fine. crashes upon activation are likely version problem and/or something blocking the injection of the trainer.
sometimes the games poll the keyboards and the trainer doesn't get much scan time to see if you press a certain key.
maybe run the trainer, run the game, alt-tab out so you can see the trainer, then press F1. see if that helps=
other than that i have no explanation-
I disagree, if you look at the posts about 80% of the people are having problems with it crashing. I know my game only crashes while the trainer is on, something is wrong with the trainer..
Most people that post here post because they have a problem. If someone is getting the trainer to work, then they really have no reason to post here other than trying to get other users how to use the trainer properly. If you want to look at statistics based on download and how many people validate the trainer, there are way more people that have the trainer working properly than those that do not suggesting that something is wrong on your PC.
The most common cause is improper setup of computer security (see link in signature for proper way to secure your Windows PC). Otherwise please visit the Trainer Troubleshooting guide and follow all steps to the letter (yes all of them regardless of how much you think that you're right and its wrong).
