Well the way I managed to get to level 50 was by using the experience option in the trainer.

oh yea..same here ...we're cheaters forever . i'm very curious though about how to get to Lvl 60.
When I imported my saves to Mass Effect 2, it said Level 36 IIRC.
then u probably didn't use a Trainer but i'd sure like to find out how Ackbar reached level 60.

I've never done it myself with Mass Effect 1 but from what I understand is that once you finish the game you can replay it with the character you first finished it with.
Which means whne you start youor second play thourgh with that character youo have the same stats and levels for your character from the start that you did when you finished the game the first time. Which means that if you finished the game the first time with a level 50 character you start the game at level 50 and that is how you can get to level 60.
