I'm running windows 7 on my current rig and trying to play older games, is there any sort of safe mode i can run it in and how do i open it?

After installing the older game, have you tried running it in compatibility mode for one of the older versions of Windows?

I believe to run it in compatability mode, all you have to do is Right Click the program (or the shortcut I think) and click Run In Compatability Mode.

Now, this doesn't work on all games but should on most.
