First off, I've been absent for awhile so if this topic has already been made, I apologize. I searched and it didn't come up so...
3D Printing! I was just introduced to this new form of technology and was amazed. Basically there is a printer that can print 3d real life objects and make an exact replica.
Link In this video they copy a big wrench and it prints out an actual wrench. Same size, same functionality. No it's not made of metal when it comes out, but they could do that in other videos I've seen.
I personally think this is just the beginning to something incredible. And if I ever owned one, I could never be bored again.

Doubt it costs anything, because it's unique to that company so you can't get it, kind of like the enzyme fluid Crime Scene Cleaners use.

3-D Printing is used for PC/Console animation.I was intrduced and lucky enough to see one in action...they are INCREDIBLE!!!
The one i saw is at the L.A. film school, which i will be attending soon(they have a computer animation class, hence how i saw the 3-d printer)
There is only two in existence right now. And,one is at the school.
I saw a model for a game they made with the printer(I don't have a link sorry) But,let me just say it was RAD!!! IT was huge and it was printed in four parts. If you can get a chance to see one do it.
The L.A. film school has tours you can take that will show you this and alot more.

Scientists in Germany used one to replicate blood vessels, now that is good, people who suffer from varicose veins etc will see this as a good thing.
