just go to folder where you installed game, then go to bin subfolder and find file called witcher.exe. right click on it then click on properities. in upper menu you will find menu called version - click on it and there you will see you version of game.

Do you mean version as in e.g v. 1.35, v. 2.0 or do you mean as in GOG version, Steam version etc.?
