Tried out the "Mega Items" option today to see what it would do or how it would work. When i read it right, then the goal was to have several weapons to "upgrade" and still having the base weapon there for other upgrades.
Yet all 99 of that weapon get upgraded at once, and there is no real way to split this stack of 99 either. On top if you put the complete stack into your storage with Jin, you are unable to get them back out again - and also unable to delete them.
Seems to work fine with the ingredient items, just not with the weapons themself. So either leave the weapons at singles.. or find a way that they are actually able to be splitted or that only 1 is used

PWizard stated at some point in this thread the reason why( im too lazy to go through and find it) and i think the reason was something about there not being a way for the trainer to tell the difference between a weapon and a item due to how the game is coded. So your best option when using the mega item cheat is to give your weapons to the mechanics daughter (something starting with J i cant remember right now) and turn it off then get weapons back and you'll have 99 of all your items and only 1 of the weapon.
Note: Patch 1.3.0 was released for me just now. It was a 1.3 GB update for some and 20MB for others.
Some Steam users are reporting that Dead Island now crashes on startup.
Here's one solution: "Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\dead island\DI\Data\game.ini Locate: Locale('EN') and change to Locale('en')"
I heard the update had Bloodbath DLC according to one post from a Steam user:
Unbelievable to me that such a small detail would break the game, but it did fix it for me as well. MAJOR hat-tip to you TheThing2010. Thank you soooo much.
My game.ini already had a lowercase "en" in it, so I dunno.
Now it's just a matter of waiting for a newer trainer version, though these beleaguered fellows just wrote a new one about a week ago for the 1.2.1 version.
Why the heck the developers didn't combine the two updates since they were released so closely together is beyond me... but hey... I'm just some guy. I only play the thing.
It's a bunch more work for some already busy guys for something that could have been done all at once is all I'm saying.
I wonder if the other weapons like the M16 and Spas12 etc. will be viable now. They really need a semi-auto shotgun in this game too. I mean... would you go into a combat situation with a pump gun when semi-auto's abound in real life? I don't think so!

At least one of the shotgun models already has a bolt mounted ****ing lever on it, (an obvious sign that it WAS a semi-suto model to begin with!) but they have me pumping it... what's up with that?
