I have the same problem, i tried out other trainers (they worked for like 3 mins before the game freezes).
The troubleshooting didnt help either. Did you find a solution already?

Have the same problem here 2.. allso when i use the cheats the game frezzes after 3min of black screen..

I too am having the same problem the trainers both this one and the Galactic Hero one does not work at all. I am also using origin.

Sorry if I'm bumping this buts same problem here trainer activates but only numb pad 1,5,7 and 0 work the rest don't make a sound. The trainer wouldn't even activate until i ran some compatibility settings. if you download Spore ATM through steam you might have issues with the registry.

{after further play and study a lot of option don't make sound also take a little bit of time to activate or different event triggers that set of the hack.

I know I've had 1 trainer that would activate fine but none of the options would activate for me. What I ended up doing was using the training customize where I decided what keys do what and I set each option to the number pad that the .nfo said and the trainer started working. Not sure if it will fix your problem but be worth giving it a try.

I cant get it to work. Ive run both game and trainer in admin mode and tried to set the keys custom. But nothing works

I had a lot of the same problems that most are listing...
I hope I don't offend anyone, but there are definite differences between the Steam version and Origin version. There are 2 different files available for download.
So, after I realized how stupid I was for not reading, I downloaded the non-Steam version and everything except instant cool-downs is working flawlessly for my Origin version.
