when i add the line parameter -developer to the end of the shortcut name i get an error message saying it is not valid what else can i try?

It's got to looklike this

c:\-----\maxpayne\"maxpayne.exe" -developer

c:\-- is just for where ever it was added or the shortcut to the exe file, if using steam you might have to make your own shortcut on the desktop leading to the exe file
