Finished twice with 39/49 achievements, which is nice since I'm not usually fussed with achievements. I should have gotten the Foxiest achievement, since whenever I set off an alarm I reloaded an earlier save, but meh, I'm not playing a third time just for an achievement. Twice through in a row is my limit on this one I think, but both were thoroughly enjoyable (the first game I've enjoyed stealth and purposely taken the stealthiest approach to the entire game).

I haven't actually played Deus EX, but from what I've read and heard, the scene at the end of the credits is essentially the start of the events leading up to the first game.

Oh, and the grenade launcher is a bonus which came with the Augmented Edition (not on Steam though).

Well the game is pretty good overall...My only complaints are dated visuals and abysmal shooting mechanics.

True, it could have been better.
Yet, remember the first Deus Ex, the graphic was ok for that time, but one thing did ****ed me off, if you killed someone and there was more than 1 enemy, the rest "magically" knew where you were hiding.... So even the nice games have their flaws

Just like real life, you would know from things like sounds etc where someone would be hiding.

If I used suppressed weapons, the enemies could guess where I am?
Unlikely, but in first DEUS EX they knew exactly, and where I was and were shooting from 100 paces accurately (even shotguns) as Robin Hoods
But in Human Revolution this particular thing feels more natural

Did my first, then started a second to try and do a complete run stealthily and without killing anyone (which I somehow failed). I don't even like 'stealth action games' and this was really fun! There is a lot of depth to it, including remembering previous passwords and certain alternate routes. The stealth mechanic really works in this game to where it is paramount to knock someone out when they break away from the pack, then hide their body somewhere. It just feels so right, slowly dismembering a strike team out to hunt you down.

I'm now on a third run, and my current goal is to slaughter everything. Luckily there isn't some sort of infinite spawn or terrible consequences against you if you commit genocide against the entire civilian populace. Not that I've... done that, or anything... It's just nice to be able to annihilate Belltower forces on a whim!

I think the general rule is if another guard sees a guard go down, they know where you are. And even if you think you're hidden, you may not be completely- that's one thing which bugged me switching from DX:HR back to DX.
