Spoilers possible in this thread, so you've been warned.

Well, I just now beat the game and my God I loved it. I'm kind of sad it ended but hey, it was a hell of a ride and the only thing I'm worried about is that it might be the last Deus Ex game since they ended the world in Deus Ex 2, and this is a prequel.

There is no Deus Ex 2, it is simply referred to as "The game that shall not be named." To even speak of it is to commit blasphemy against the Deus Ex franchise.

In all seriousness though, they ended things nicely in the original. I'm sad as hell to think this might be the last one too, but I'd rather that then have another boneheaded sequel.

Oh and yes, it was worth every penny.

My guess if this is the last one; we'll be seeing a game of a very similar nature in the next couple years.

I actually liked the second game more than the first, except for the even more dismal endings, this one at least didn't /show/ any depressing results, it left the results purposefully vague but since it's a prequel you know what happens anyways if you'v played the first.

A lot of the plot stuff seemed predictable to me, I actually predicted one thing from the very start, before Adam got augmented.

    Spoiler:
I predicted that his blood was the holy grail that could make everyone get augmented, she wanted to tell him something and she mentioned how she'd have to explain /how/ she got her information. The only part of the story that /really/ threw me off and surprised me was that the key researches were actually still alive.

Even though much of the plot was predictable to me (I try to think of what will happen in the game and see how close I get), I still found the game to be a lot of fun. I just wish they added ONE thing.

    Spoiler:
What I wanted most was to explore the upper parts of that damn Hengsha(spelling?), the city in China. It looked so beautiful from the windows of the skyscraper overlooking the city.

They game is not a work of fiction. Its reality set in fiction. Its how the world is currently and how the future looks. This game is TRUTH. I love this game, the ending choices=jizz in my pants cause all 4 was valid.

    Spoiler:
I think the final scene hidden at the end of the credits alludes to another Deus Ex game.

I agree. I was looking for interaction between the various characters but the endings just felt bland. Like most great games and movies the endings suck.
