If someone is a blacksmith and you are a better blacksmith than him, means that blacksmithing comes natural to you, that you are an expert at it and that many people can only stand aside in envy at how great of a blacksmith you are.
It wouldn't actually make you a "bigger" blacksmith, because you don't proportionally grow any more than usual.
