I am writing, to give you my opinion about the gaming today.
Yes there are allot of good gamming machines out there and they are all good each one it’s own way, and also there’s allot of games, but not as much as there used to be back in PS1 & PS2 , GC, Xbox days I know now developers don’t sell as much games as they did back in those days, you know why? I will tell you, you see back in PS1 and PS2,xbox and GameCube days there was no online gaming, which gave the developers options to add cheats to the games, and also gave none gaming companies like Gameshark and Actionreplay and so on, work to make gaming cheats devices.
The developers today should give an option of cheating on all the games they make, there are allot of people like me around the world who don’t care about trophy’s and achievements, all we want is to play the game’s the way we want, I don’t care about FAKE trophy’s and achievements instead I want to play the game’s my way just carousing around. This days we are to busy to set there for 2 hours trying to kill some boos. Back in PS1 days i had almost 140 games most of them where not the best games but what made me bye them and play them was the CHEATS.I am not talking about cheating online all i am saying is that the developers should give an option for other gamers like myself who don’t care about online and trophy’s, and achievements. that’s why my PS3 Library is only 19 games, compared to my ps1 which was around 140,games and PS2 was around 110 games, and I hardly play PS3 games ,if i had cheats for example on killzone 3 and uncharted and mgs and so on i would be replying these games over and over again, plus i be buying more games even if they gave them 3 out of 10, because i would be playing them my way the cheating way the fun way, just like I am still doing with my PS1 and PS2 games, now i play allot of PC games because PC still have cheats, thanks to the cheat trainers. LOOK I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT CHEATING ONLINE, I don’t cheat online and i don’t play online at all, that’s why i am asking Sony and Microsoft and Nintendo, and all the gaming developers to add cheats to the games like they use to, for people who don’t want or care about competitions, all we want is to play the game in a fun way.
PLEASE UNDERSATND WE DONT CHEAT ONLINE, AND WE DONT CARE ABOUT TROPHEYS AND ACHEVMENTS AND COMPTTIONS.
WE WANT TO PLAY THE GAMES IN OUR WAY THE FUN WAY.

i agree, i want to play the game my way, i dont care about trophys ect, where there is more than one ending i like to play the games over to see all the diffrent endings different missions ect. and if you dont use a cheat or trainer it will take 4 ever. And if a game is imposable to play without a cheat, well than you just give up and never bother playing it again.

First off,i am 41 years old. I have been gaming for a good 30+ years.I have owned a Commadore 64,an Atari 2600,nintendo 64,sega genesis,ect...plus a PS1 and PS2.

I didn't start seeing cheats for games until i got my PS1 And my PS2. Which was great! I LOVE to enhance my gaming experience.

I owned action reply,gameshark,and pelican cheating devices.
I am one of the few besides yourself who agrees with you and does not care one bit about trophies and acheivments.

I didn't pick up a PS3 until fairly recently just because i can't resist the awesome graphics and gameplay on most of the games.

I too am very disapointed they didn't make any cheat devices or in-game cheats for the PS3.

I had a conversation with a good friend about this.Two reasons they don't and probably will not make cheats/codes for PS3.

Security and online gaming.Yep,online gaming is the main reason they will not make cheats.Trophies and acheivments unfortunatly are you cheats/codes.

I feel you,i really do.I agree with you 100%.But,since online gaming is very popular right now,and shows no sighn of slowing down,The best your going to get is easy or casual difficulty in a game.Or cheats unlocked after you complete the whole game.

Blizzard does make in-game cheats for certain games,i believe starcraft and warcraft(not WOW)
As long as there is online and muliplayer you will have very little if any cheats/codes.

yes agree 100%, i posted this in allot of board all they did is abused me.

i agree with you, but the game developers can make the cheats in game like PC games,they don't have to force there trophy **** on us.
I played Killzone 2 3, half way and i got bored of keep repeating the same level, all my b19 ps3 games are setting there collecting dust.
I am 34 my self, and i don't have time to waste time to finish a level, at list let us choose between cheats and tropheys, i thing Rockstart did a grate job on GTA IV.

I understand where you are coming from, i would also like to see more cheat codes put into modern games. However, do you really need cheats as an incentive to buy a game? That seems a little wierd to me. Most gamers buy games because they are fun, enjoyable, and have a replay value. Almost all of the games I own I bought for those reasons. I hardly play online because I have no internet connection but I still play all of my games on a regular basis. Maybe you should do what I do, rent the games before you buy them. That way, you can see if the game has replay value to you before you fork out the $60.

I have been playing games sens 1996 when the PS1 released, and i have enjoyed playing games on PS1 and PS2 very much.
And what made me enjoy them was the cheats, the cheats made games more fun to play and for people my age who have allot things to do we don’t have time to set there and retrying the same level 5 to 10 times, so the cheats made it much easier to finish the game and enjoyed more.
Unfortunately that all changed when PS3 came and the online trophy’s.

You see back in the PS1 and PS2 days i used to buy any game even if it was 3 out of 10 score i still did go and pay for it, because i would be playing it using cheats and i mean real cheats like GOD MODE UNLIMITED AMMO and so on.
My PS1 library was around 140 games, and my PS2 library was 110 games, and my PS3 library is only 19 games, as you can see my ps3 library is very small, that’s because the developers have removed the cheats from their games in favour for online games and trophy’s, which i find unfair.
Why force me play the games in a way i would not enjoy it? Why not give an option for cheats and an opting for people who want the trophy’s and online gaming?

That way i believe the developers will sell more games because i am not the only one who wants this.
So far in PS3 there is only one company that did that and that is Rockstar, they give an option to cheat in GTA IV , and an option to play the game with no cheats, so why other company’s don’t do that?
Me and many other people don’t care about trophy’s, all we want is to play the games in our fun way the cheats way, without sacrificing the trophy’s that way everyone is happy.
I have Kill Zone 2 and 3, and resistance 1,2 and uncharted, and many other games, which i stopped playing them because they are just too hard, and taking too long to finish the game, if the developers add cheat option to this games i would be replaying them over and over again, and i would be buying more games, just like i did back in PS1 PS2 days.
So please understand i am not saying i want to cheat online no one can this days anyway they get banned for ever, all i am saying is that the developers should rethink to add cheats into the game from day one, and sell more games, and keep everyone happy.

Those games aren't really that hard. Maybe lower the difficulty or something. In my experience, using cheats like God Mode and Unlimited Ammo, are fun in some games like GTA IV or Saints Row 2 (which does have cheats btw), but can ruin the game in others because it makes the game TOO easy. Most gamers I know prefer a bit of a challenge when they are playing, they dont want the game SO easy that they can beat it with one hand tied behind their back. I get what your saying, cheats are fun to use in some games. But I just dont think it should be your only incentive for buying a game. Be glad video games are still around, especially with all the recent attacks on them.
