Game is just bad. Way to over complicated and bassicaly no tutorial or training aside from some videos.
Buy it when its like 5 bucks.
I got through a good chunk of the game after viewing about five of the tutorial videos, partially at least. It's about as complicated as "check your inventory, hack important stuff, sneak by/kill enemies, complete objectives." One can make it much more complicated than that if they wish - as is intended, but the gist of it is "play it how you want to."
lol what? This game is complex enough to enjoy, I felt overwhelmed a bit when I started. If you play it like any other shooter and willingly experiment, it will be a fun experience. I still find hacking a pain in the butt, especially when you fail and get hacked yourself lol. Nonetheless, the game is worth at least 10-15 bucks not 20 lol.

Hacking can be a bit of a pain, but I use it as a stat dump until about level five to try and get around it, and get the implant that boosts it. I always start off by using Mask, then Scan. Keeping the target's attack down (and buffing your own defense up a lot if you need to) then dropping their defense as needed seems to work wonders. Also note that you can click the target name a few more times to reroll its stats and lower its starting attack/defense.
Hope that helps make it slightly less painful, developers seem aware that it's a bit of a pain and will probably make it a little easier with the first patch.
i have to say it's a great indie title FPS RPG. If you like Stalker and the Deus EX series, then you'll enjoy this. I picked it up for $18 online. It's worth it in my opinion. I'll quote a friend who wrote a review on Gamespot
"I have played roughly about 2 hours of the game so far. I got it for about 18 dollars.
Pros: -Lot's of RPG depth when it comes to leveling -Stealth -Cyber powers (somewhat like augmentations in Deus Ex, but energy restores over time) -Somewhat open-world, you do missions at a time and stop by your hub to buy stuff and select missions -Weapons of all types from melee to ARs, to grenades and heavy machine guns -deep, interesting sci-fi setting with tons of lore and history -blend of RPG and personal shooter skill -Decent graphics and visuals -In-depth hacking, healing, and many more different actions
Cons: -Story is a bit -too- complicated starting out -Character creation and leveling is a bit complicated at first -Menus and HUD are smaller than they should be, but usable -Can't save just anywhere, the game automatically saves at hubs or checkpoints. -If you die/go into coma, you return from the last checkpoint area or beginning of current chapter -So many different actions and menus and Cyber powers that it is hard to keep track of them and the selection menu is not very well designed.
Overview:
A great buy for fans of games like STALKER and/or Deus Ex. Many RPG and shooter elements are included, and good weapons to boot. With many ways to approach and complete objectives, as well as a somewhat branching storyline with choices to make, it's pretty good despite its need of some polishing.
Rating:
If it were just an ordinary game, I would give it an 8/10 BUT Since it's an Indie game, I give it a 9/10 ---"
How would you compare it to something like Fallout 3 or New Vegas? I haven't played any of the other mentioned games. I would give Deus Ex a try, but I'd rather not buy it since it's 11 years old. Human Revolution on the other hand looks cool, but vague on its release date. It is August after all.
