VII is a bit over-rated.
As for XIII-2, I hope the combat system is turn-based or ATB. Hopefully we also won't get another twenty hour tutorial either.
Blasphemer! :P

I honestly thought VII was fairly underrated when I played it. But I do definitely agree about the combat system for XIII-2.

Under-rated? Every male Final Fantasy fan I've encountered raves about it. It has the most sequels and gets the most attention.
IX is under-rated, with it's tiny fanbase and minimal amount of attention. They even kept their hero for Dissidia chibified and basically like a child...
See, I figure given all the negative feedback for XIII's combat system we shouldn't see another like it.
I would hope not. You are given tons of steps to do something and no time to do it.
The problem was more the lack of control for me. I don't like having a party and only controlling one member. I don't play games to have the computer do stuff for me. The levelling up was so linear and the combat was boring.
