I'd like to know the validity of this. I must admit that I haven't really read the ToS of Steam (laziness), but I wonder if it's okay to share Steam accounts. My girlfriend wants to play Portal 2 on her laptop and I've let her borrow my account, but I've recently read that if the Steam account is logged on to too many machines or too rapidly then it may get locked.
I don't want it locked or anything, so I'm asking if any of you know.

I think there won't be any problem if you share it with your girlfriend ONLY. Just make sure you don't share it with more people, and also she doesn't do so. Also, be sure not to log in to your STEAM account when she has already logged in. I really don't trust STEAM on whether they will ban your account or not, but telling her to play the game with STEAM on offline mode will minimize the risk.

Life is best for those who enjoy it, difficult for those who analyze it and worst for those who criticize it.

Offline mode! That's something I completely forgot Steam had. I'll be sure to pass that on to her.
