I don't know of any in-game cheats but you can use the save game editor to change a companion's opinion of you. Find it at Link. I think to get the effect you want you should set it at either 95 (for friendship) or -95 (for rivalry) and then do something that would get you the appropriate points. This program also works with Dragon Age: Origins also.
An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest. I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.
I was trying to work on this myself in game using a memory editor. This game has thrown me a couple loops in it's details (i.e. The CH Trainer gives 10 ability points per press, I used a mem editor to take that down after giving them to myself), but I never seem to be prepared for when the relationships change and I'm limited to working on one person at a time.
I think the saved editor might just be easier.
