    Hey,

So I have several trainers and this seems to happen with them all. So I can load a trainer via the Manager, if the game isnt loaded I press Fn F1 and I get "Trainer cannot find game" which is as expected. However when I load the game and do the same, I get nothing.

    Any idea as to why?

    Thanks in advance!

Try ALT+TABBING out of the game and then try F1.

Or it could be its taking its time, depending on what your Laptop specs are, what programs are running in the background etc.

Also make sure to run the trainers in Administration mode if you have Windows Vista or 7.

For more possibles check the trainer troubleshooting section at the very top of the page.

    Aye, i've tried alt tabbing.

And its a brand new laptop so specs aren't an issue. Its seems that when a game is running I lose the Fn button functionality completely.

I didnt know if there was a way to remap the F1 activation key to something else so I can test it.

If you lose the Fn button completely then its not a trainer issue, that is something you are going to check up with the Laptop manufacturer on why full screen gaming loses the Fn key (it shouldn't as some games require the Function keys).

But it could be also a simple case that when a game is in full screen everything else that is running loses focus, therefore they don't see key presses.

Also try the trainer customization tool to remap the activation key to a different one.

You can't remap the activation key with the trainer customizer. I'm sure there are other keyboard re-mappers out there that can re-map any key to whatever you want.

I've had this on the occasional trainer, it means the trainer hasn't found the running game EXE it's looking for, it happened to me most memorably with the trainer for Amnesia, which I solved by running the trainer from the folder containing the Amnesia EXE.

Try running the trainer from the install folder of the game you're using it for, it's happened to me on the very rare occasion, I think in all the 100+ trainers I've used from here, I've only had to run it from the games install folder 2 - 3 times max, but that was a way of getting it working when the trainer can't find the game. Hope this helps you!

Also note that if you're getting the audio message "Trainer cannot find game" then your F1 key is still being pressed, otherwise you would hear nothing at all.
