    OK, now I'm stuck at the part where the girls are in front of the shotgun "break glass" part. I kill all the aliens, but the game doesn't advance.

    i had this problem a few times. it seems that hp and more imprtantly super damage prevent story from prgressing. best tip is between fights turn ALL options off and only have them on for fights

    Yes, the insta kill portion of the trainer is hindering story progression.
