Well, PC Gamer--which used to be the authority on such things--gives Red Faction an 84 and Duke Nukem an 80.
Now you have to take into account that since they've shifted most of their content to their British staff, they're grading on a curve to please the publishers. (the US staff wouldn't, and has been paying the price in being disallowed insider scoops)
So it's probably about a 74 and a 70 by the "old" standards.
Just by that, you'd go Red Faction.
But it depends if you want to blow **** up (Red Faction) or revisit the 90s (Duke Nukem).
From the reviews, neither has all that great of gameplay.

Well Duke Nukem Forever on IGN got a 5.5 grade, why on GameSpot it got a 3.5 grade which by today's standards is very bad,and Red Faction Armageddon on IGN got a 7.0, and on GameSpot It got a 8.0. Both it depends on what you like, every one says that Duke dissapointed them, why on the other hand they say that Red Faction Armaggedon is a good game to play, not the best, both a good game. That's all the advice I can give you, both hey it is you money! You decide on what do you want to spend it on

Duke's always been off-the-cuff kinda fun...Armageddon is fun too. played the entire series. enjoyed it thoroughly. i'd recommend both. not sure when FEAR 3 is due. u could wait for that one too although only the very first one was original..its other installments were kinda predictable.

Neither. Duke Nukem Forever is nothing but a 12 year old hype turning out to be an abomination.
Red Faction Armageddon seems to be a pretty mediocre game. You can save the money and buy F.3.A.R which will release on the end of this month...Hopefully!

well...FEAR 3's a big 'IF'...considering how disappointing and repetitive its previous installments were.
