Thanks to you all for your replys. I have been real busy lately to check back my blogs. According to outputs here no one has ctd errors. In addition I appligize for so many typos. I do believe my computer is seriously virused up which could further bring the numerous crashes to Fable in my case. Many others similar cases I read off google search are unknown to me. I am glad this could work out for you. I shall give it another try mayhaps more update patch is being released, i don't know yet. But I do know steam version with win 7 system does mess up sometimes. Ms Live does not do much to support the frequency of crashed too. Some claim MS Live is the cause and not Lionhead. Be aware of ATI cards and XFX they seem to have driver issues lately too. I had little choice as my choice of motherboard accept only crossfire not sli. Wish you all enjoyed the game. Seem promising on some game mechanics like I mentioned. On another note watch for win 9 in next 3 years so promised by ms. Supposed to be good we'll see. IT claimed once to me that's gonna be win7. Yes it's better than previous versions of windows but we're still looking for better windows. One that is more compatable, easy to use, less hardware power to operate, and secure. Funny to me, prolonged question still remained all this year PC or Mac. Having used both if you are a gamer and power user I am always PC. Stable and true GUI certainly Mac. Anyways I won't spam you all. I wish you enjoy your game and life. Keep up with news hardware builders don't chip in for super computer too soon like I did. Better gpu and cpu are always on the go. I guestmate another 5-8 before hardware settles to a balanced rate.
I don't know how or why some you did not have any error of CTD. But recently back home to try Installing Fable 3 again fresh. I found no luck. Updated all drivers ofcourse. Whether or not it would be a virses fault remains unknown to me. I have yet to reformat the computer then I would know. No disk space, driver, or hardware issue that's sure. I dumped a lot of brand name parts from ground up. I know this to be true. Read google blogs you may find many others with CTD errors?.? Hope those that got it working found this game to be fun.
This is my finaly reply to this topic. I would like to inform all that has the Fable 3 CTD issue try lowering view distance to high from very high most importantly lower shawdow to off.I also had VSYNC off seem to cause most issues upon many other games too. This seem to resovle the issue for me. Autosafe seem to work too. Note: upon first change you may still find the game to crash but after relunch you should be okay. I used desktop shortcut created during game install. Win 7 32bit in use. Hope this will help you.
