This is the first time using a trainer...bought the game in walmart...so using the retail trainer...but cant get it to work...do you need to extract it into the witcher 2 file? Or is the desktop ok? Any help would be awsome ty!
went thru the How to you linked....something is definatly blocking the trainer from running properly...it runs but i get no ACTIVATED...but if i run it without the game ...it says game cant be found....gonna keep trying....and ty for the link.

You probably have the wrong version of the trainer. The version of the trainer you need is the retail trainer that was released on the 27th of May. I hope this helps you.

I dunno, something is running in the background protecting the games coding, like Punkbuster or something like that, if so OP disable them and try again.
And obviously find out what version of the game you have, you can do this by going into the games folder and locating the witcher2.exe file (should be in the bin folder) and right click on it and goto properties, in the new window look for the TAB named details and check it, there you can find the current game version you have, and just match it up with the trainer here.
