Regarding the Trainer 1.0.6041.43456 (GOG), Unlimited Vitality, Vigor, Add Expe....

I've used this option when I started a new game and it worked fine, had it set at ~500 while I played and quit with ~430 or so worth of items in my inventory.

Next time I start the game, I got the "You have too many items" text so I press the button and... nothing happens.

I thought it might be because of the initial overweight so I dumped most of the stuff and tried again... and again nothing happens.

I saved the game with ~230 on me and exit the game, restarted it, used the option before loading, loaded, used the option again... nothing.

Everything else works except the most important option...

Any tips? Do I need to wait for the modding community to have a go at it or someone to find a way to edit the savegame?

    Any help appreciated.

    Using the GOG version.

good to know that capacity is the MOST important option in the trainer ...

you may have to go back to a previous autosave.

also, does using the weight option double the current capacity over and over such that it rises above what you are carrying and then you can move again?

at any rate, regarding double capacity. It appears as though this is useful while playing, but likely the game won't allow you to save with more than the normal amount. so it's useful for caryying alot of things from point a to point b and then you need to use them or sell them before you save the game or realize that you might lose items from the save, etc.

currently there is no 'fix' for the game hardcoding the deletion of items over the normal weight when saving.

    best,
    Cal

Well, technically the most important option :X
It's frustrating having an inventory cap when the game virtually throws materials at you. Gotta sell most of it and then, when you get a new schematic for a weapon or whatever, you realize you've sold most of the ingredients you needed...

Good thing plants and books don't weigh anything...

Pressing Num6 over and over didn't do anything before, so no doubling of the max.

Anyway, to the problem at hand, the trainer seems to have started working again (after I've re-downloaded it... again).

Personally I haven't seen the deleting of items upon loading again, the total accumulated weight was over the max, and it seemed everything was there but... I might've missed something.

Anyway problem solved itself, hardcoded pain-in-the-rear inventory system unsolvable.
Feel free to lock this if you wish.

The game allows to carry almost unlimited items in inventory, so the only problem is speed penalty, mb "remove speed penalty" option?

p.s. writing this cause of double capacity problem also. And agree that this is one of the most important option.

I haven't lost an item in my inventory yet. I only wish it was a permanent change, but yeah everytime I load it shows how much weight I had before just with the original lower limit.

I went over the limit for the first time earlier, and couldn't be bothered going back to sell everything, so I ended up saving and exiting with about 504 weight. When I reloaded I was informed I was carrying too much, activated the option, weight went up to 600, and nothing had even been deleted.

This really is a problem - and I use the term "problem" very loosely - with how the game has been coded. This isn't a problem with the trainer.

Also, trainers are no different than any other program you'll buy or download. Nothing is completely bug-free, and they will act differently on everyone's individual machines, as shown by the fact that only a handful of people are having a problem with the weight, whereas most people aren't. As good as Cal is at what he does, and as hard as the whole CH team tries to cater to and fix everyone's problems with trainers, sometimes that's just not possible and you have to move on.

It's not so difficult to work out what to sell in order to keep under the weight limit. For example, I was over the limit a few times, and I noticed I was hauling around about 6 or 7 different pieces of armor, all with much crappier stats than what I was wearing. So I went and sold those and didn't go over the limit for quite a while.

    Very well said, Skyheart.

We have put endless amounts of time into testing, playing, re-testing, downloading, re-downloading, installing, etc *4* different versions of this 20GB game just to make a trainer that will work regardless of where the user bought the game. We then had to play through about 30 different savegames from various users to nail down the options for even more random scenarios. Nothing in the world is ever going to be perfect and that includes us and our trainers. We do try our best though and it's a heck of a lot more than you will find elsewhere *cough* idiot h4x0r *cough*.

    *cough* idiot h4x0r *cough*.

LOL, it will never end =)

2Skyheart - Armor, weapon etc. I just sell if it is poor, but what about ingridients and materials, cannot guess what you need next and in what quantity. I spent lots of time just clearing my inventory and "guessing".

2PWizard - Thanks for your work, I think all members appriciate it.
