Is there anything you would say makes you different from most people?
Tough question. Who is most people in the first place? I don't see a main group of the usual people, everyone is different in their own ways. For me it would have to be about respect for elders and possessions. I am a strong advocate for honouring the elders who have done so much for the younger generation, but yet have it thrown in their faces. It seems to be the "norm" also for the younger generation to have this disregard for peoples property whatever it's form, I am a believer in respecting other people's property as it is theirs.
Do follow any TV shows?
Quite a lot, I love Masterchef's from different countries (because I love to cook), The Apprentice, The Ultimate Fighter and CSI's. Mostly reality recently but I do enjoy a drama and sci-fi show when one is around.
Which members would you like to see become more active again?
Wow, im not sure I have seen anyone missing, there is quite the diversity here at CH that you never notice people who have disappeared.
What are a few of your favourite movies and why do you like these?
Ahh this is an easy question, two movies come to mind. Shawshank Redemption and The Elephant Man. Shawshank redemption for the what will happen next, you watch a movie about a young man instituted but yet quickly settles into prison life and you watch expecting him to escape but he doesn't so the rest of the movie seems like a life story about a man inside prison, then he escapes when you least expect it. That is genius. As for the Elephant Man it was the art direction and the fact it is in Black and White adds to the feel of the movie and the era it depicited, and John Hurt played the main role well.
Is there anyone you particularly get on with at CH?
Probably Caliber when he isn't busy and can manage a whole 30 words before running off on MSN :P
If you could change one thing about CHU, what would it be and why?
Ahhh at the moment it is a service that has great value for money in terms of final product and delivery, makes the lifetime accounts even more special. But I did ask if possible to have more than Caliber doing the trainers, but unfortunately due to security problems etc that wouldn't be feasible, but saying that I am more than confident in Caliber's ability to deliver. And maybe a big set of punching gloves to smack the users in the face who keep posting new threads about updates and/or why the trainer isn't working.. There is a rules page for a reason guys :P
Why did you first join CH?
Why? Number of reasons, as people know I did trainers myself before and so it interested me, I watched CH way before joining and watched it grow, and then joined out of curiosity and mutual respect.
Where can you see yourself in 10 years time?
Probably collecting a pension in a wheelchair or zimmerframe. Nahh im not that old, 10 years I hope to have started a self-sufficient business so I can put my feet up and relax. I will be 48 in 10 years... so yeah early retirement would be nice :P
Is there anyone you are inspired by in life, or anyone you aspire to be like?
When I was at high school I was mostly into Art & Design and Mathematics, but Salvador Dali captured my pique of interests, his style was unique and he was unique himself it was how I saw myself and did my Art exam in his style, got an A. So it was all good. For today I think I still have some of that crazyness from back then.
Tell us a few of your favourite games, why do you like these?
I am a Final Fantasy guy, I love RPG's of any type but J-RPG's were big at the time and when Final Fantasy VII came out it was massive. It had everything, a great story line, a great hero?, a great bad guy/s, an immersible world and lots of secrets. Ok by today's standards the graphics and movies are not amazing, but the gameplay and story etc still are, that is what makes a great game one that can replayed even after 15 years.
Tell us something interesting about your job.
I thought this question would appear :P I work with EA (Electronic Arts) just being employed with them, currently working on a big huge title more specifically the AI side of things, I cannot say anymore than that as I am bound to secrecy so to speak. But it is enjoyable, something I love doing and can do at home, and great people I keep in contact with. Not everyday you get a job like that.
Got any favourite songs/artists/Genres?
I don't really have a favourite band/genre I like all types.... except Heavy Metal. Depends on the mood what type I listen to.
Do you play an instrument? If so, which or how many?
Ahh I used to play the Piano/Keyboard back in High School, it seemed natural for me to do so, because my father even still to this day plays in a band at weekends for fun/hobby. But he gets paid for it, so when younger it was assumed that since I can't sing I would probably end up with an instrument, and ended up after trial and error being the Piano. Haven't played one now for 20 years, so hard to say if I can still play one well :P
What's the best thing about CHU in your opinion?
Price and Quality including the speed of releases. Enough Said :P ((BUY THE LIFETIME ACCOUNT!! have to say this to keep the boss happy))
If you could meet one famous person, who would it be and why?
Already done, met Billy Connolly in Glasgow in a Pub/Bar. Very different in public than on stage, he wouldn't let you buy him a drink he would buy you. Generous and even in public his patter (that is scottish for talking with no specific topic) was amazing. After he stopped talking about things, 2 hours and 30 mins had gone by and he left, time flew by and we had a good time.
..to be continued next post...
