Hopefully the PlayStation store will be back up tonight.

Yeah, I want my free games. But I'm not gonna hold my breath.

In the end they will lay their freedom at our feet and say to us, 'Make us your slaves, but feed us.'

so now that the ps3 has proven hackable, any chance we're going to start seeing trainers for ps3 games?

No. Sony are the kind of people that would sue the **** out of you for putting trainers on their console.

Add to that that Cal would be advertising that he'd hacked a PS3 to make them.

It's easy to make them, but to make them easily installed is another matter.

It takes a bit of knowledge about how to use API's to access drives etc, so you are loading the game through the trainer, but also to disable achievements the last thing people want is have accounts go belly up because they were caught trying to get easy platinum trophies.

Oh and Don't forget some tuts on ASM and defeating DMA

Trophies and achievements are a big reason why there hasn't been an official cheat device, such as the Action Replay, for either the PS3 or 360, but I'm sure there was a technical reason to do with how the consoles work which made them implausible also. Might be able to find it if you look around.
