I'll remember this next time... nothing ever works for me except forgetting about it. The only problem with that is mot of the time I'm thinking about forgetting it, so I'm not forgetting it... <.<

lol, sounds like a lot of work. The hiccup probably doesn't stop because of the inhaling+swallowing but because you totally concentrate on something else than the hiccup....I guess ^^

For me it helps to just inhale until the lungs feel full an then hold my breath and count to 50. My hiccups mostly stop at around 30 to 40, probably because I'm focusing on counting, not on hiccing up

I usually just drink a lot of water, and kinda imagine I'm drowning my hiccups

But I've heard a dozen different methods, like eating a tablespoon of peanut butter, or drinking a glass of water upside down.

Hiccups are caused by a break in the rythme of your breathing of some sort or another, this helps in some other way then just a placebo effect, I'd imagine.

I heard it's a muscle that goes into cramps.. i usually remove my hiccups by compressing the muscle as it is placed where the ribs meet. Just press hard into that 'hole' and do it for while and they always disappear for me
