Okay here is a easy step by step way to cheat in-game in BRINK.
Step 1:create a text file named autoexec.cfg in the /base folder in the game's location (example:"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\brink\base" it may vary)
Step 2:inside the config file type "seta com_allowconsole 1", along with "seta sv_cheats 1" then save the file
Step 3:run the game and while in the main menu open the console (by pressing the "tilde" key) and type "devmap", it should say something like "no map specified" but thats ok
Step 4:launch a solo game (i.e. campaign or freeplay) and use the command console to type in cheats!
Note:I forgot how to submit cheats so I'm posting here

An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest. I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.
You would be correct in assuming that. Also handy is the "bind" command.

I think the recoil and accuracy is intentionally designed that way to make the weapon add ons worth more to upgrade to.
As far as the cheats go, Give all does nothing so far as I can tell, Give ammo works, god works, notarget and noclip works.
Testing out the Rank cheats, will report back later.
While I use the cheats and trainer for Single Player games only, does anyone know if they work in Multiplayer? I suspect some do 'cause some people are just "too good" with the starting weapons... Kill me by riddling me with bullets and no apparent reload? chyea...
PROTIP: use the noclip cheat on the "parkur this!" challenge for an easy win. Also I don't think cheats work online because when in solo mode you are the host. That means you can set certain server-variables such as "sv_cheats". Maybe if you could host your own online game (which I don't think you can), then maybe you could use cheats. As for trainers online? I'm pretty sure VAC (Valve Anti-Cheat) guards against such things.
Edit: I cant get "testgiveallunlocks" to work. Maybe its a dud command from development days that no longer functions.
