So, when playing some games, I don't really care what the characters are saying or about the music and sound effects, and instead I play my own music
I have found that playing my own music can make me like a game even more, for example, earlier on I was running around in BF Bad Company II unleashing carnage and having a really fun time while listening to:
Aha - Take On Me Cliff Richard - Wired For Sound Mark Ronson - Bang Bang Bang Goodnight Nurse - Milkshake
For some reason, these three songs made the whole game so much more fun, it was kind of... liberating... I guess
So, does anyone else prefer their own music when playing games? got any examples?
yeah!i do but not much only sometimes.Like only in racing and sport games.I usually listen to AC-DC,black eyed peas.......

I do this once i finish a game and am going to re-play it. Good hack and slash games like god of war or devil may cry,i'll listen to any hardcore/thrash/metal music.Like Slayer,Five finger death punch,Tool.
For RPG's like dragon age/warcraft/mass effect,i'll listen to techno/trance/ like the crystal method, trance control. Sometimes just for fun i'll throw in some tori amos/sarah mclaughlin. For games like bullet storm and max payne,The slow hypnotic music flows with the slow motion bullet time.Acoustic music works too.Like chris cornell. Iam a HUGE music fan in case you haven't noticed.
