Choosing ranks? on Feedback, Complaints or Problems Message Board - Page 1

Would it be possible to 'unlock' ranks the longer you are here, and be able to choose between the ones you have unlocked? So you can occasionally switch back to veteran or what ever is your favorite rank. Kind of like how we used to be able to choose between UNLIMITED and your age rank.

Those ranks are used as general indicator of how long someone's been on the site, so I'm not sure alternating between them would be a good idea. The only way you could pick an old rank such as Veteran would be to buy a custom rank.

The bad part about that is that CHU doesn't sell custom ranks. Only way to get one is to win it in a contest.

That is an interesting suggestion though (to pick earlier ranks) now that the "UNL MEMBER" is no longer a choice.

Well I guess the mention of Joined Date covers that part already.

Having all the old age ranks is a good idea though, you get to chose ranks like CHEATMASTER, ELDER, etc.

Life is best for those who enjoy it, difficult for those who analyze it and worst for those who criticize it.

Leave them the way they are. You want custom then should set up a pay for it system. Standard ranks cant be chosen as they are left to define how long people have been here for.

Alright, cool. Then why the redundancy of the member ID and the 'Joined' field under each person's avatar.

I'm just saying the the option to have this available would be nice. They don't have to be custom, just the option to chose between the ones you've unlocked from the time you been a part of Cheat Happens. The option to pay for a custom Rank would also be a nice addition, but I'm sure it'd get overwhelming if not made automatic.

Yeah I've only been here for a minute compared to you vets, but having the ability to choose which unlocked rank is displayed sounds like a neat idea.
