Think of the kinetic balls. You lift and drop one, the one on the opposite end moves. It's the same with the Earth. An Earthquake on one side of the planet can affect somewhere on the complete opposite side. I think we'll be feeling the after effects for a while, as the Admiral pointed out.

it seems like nature is either being patient with us,and just giving us warnings which we rather ignore(atleast the goverment and most of the selfish businesses) or nature is just being beaten by newer and better technologies...
still,no matter what is true,we are sure these calamities didn't come by nothing.i myself is sure that these calamities are due to pollutions and resource overusage...
