So soccer season is right around the bend and I would like to be in better shape then the last time I had conditioning etc. So could you guys suggest how to lose weight fast?

    Currently I am 158 lbs.

Most of this weight is muscle but I would say a lot more than what I want of it is also fat.

I know that gaining muscle will add weight so I don't necessarily mean dropping pounds.

I already know basics such as "don't drink soda"

I have heard salad dressing is bad too.

I figure Powerade or Gatorade is not good but it's healthier than soda and still provides the taste (I could carbonate it too)

So basically in short give me tips and warnings. What not to eat. Good and easy routines. Etc.

And it might sound funny, but I would buy a O-Z just to get you in my bedroom.

What exactly are you currently eating every day? How much do you exercise? and what times of the day are you doing either?

Or simply, burn more calories then you consume.

They have apps for that. Where you put in what you eat, and your exercise, and it tells you if you've burned more that you've eaten. There's a decent free one called Lose It, but I'm sure there are better paid ones.

Eat sensibly, extreme diets never work as you're starving your body of fuel.

Eat approximately 1000-1500 calories a day and exercise. Don't eat too much salt or sugar, and try and keep off the fats of course. Carbohydrates and Proteins are you best option they provide fuel for exercising.

IMO, Insanity is better for losing fat. P90X is for getting broly.

Avoid fatty foods, and eat healthily and sensibly, making sure you have a lot of energy, vitamins, protein, all that sort of stuff. Exercise but don't go overboard. Take it slow at first, but still tough enough that you work up a decent sweat and gradually step up the pace. I've seen people get seriously ill and/or hurt when they push themselves too hard at first.

Maybe try speaking to some experts too, instead of asking on a gaming site

    Go to the gym.

Work on cardio on the treadmill and do weights which are a lower weight but in more sets. This will help you with muscular endurance instead of simply gaining size, this will also help you burn calories. Naturally I would say keep away fast food, eat more fish for a greater protein intake and mix your diet up where ever possible.
