Apparently after Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises, they're rebooting Batman. How many times do I have to see super heroes and their upbringing? HOW MANY TIMES?!

I spent an entire hour yesterday discussing Batman with my English teacher, and after watching the trailer for the 1966 film, I shall never need to watch another Batman movie again. My life is complete.

keep in mind here people that hollywood is always reinventing super heroes to appeal to younger generations, this was the whole reason for the clone wars series on tv, it sucks, but it is what it is, on a personal note i'm excited to see anne hathaway in tights as catwoman in the new batman flick, even if her performance bombs, she'll look good doing it.

You have a point. People always seem to think that older franchises such as Batman need 'updating' to appeal to a modern audience.

They've done the same with the Superman comics; in the new version he's some angsty stroppy teenager that wears a hoody. I'm supposedly part of this 'modern audience', the generation that these updated versions are supposed to appeal to, but a small part of my soul died when I first saw it.

Reinventing for a younger generation is all well and good, but when you have only three movies in less than 6 (a little more when the third is released maybe) years as the last reboot, it's a little soon.

Plus it's not really reinventing for a younger generation, it's another big paycheck for Hollywood for yet another unoriginal/rehashed/anally abused story (cross out as necessary).
