That and I had it twice that the AI set a a time time far under mine e.g. something of 0.00.038. So it won't help you 1 tip try in the fist couple of tournaments a slow car easier to win. The only thing which is hard is the last tournament (for the bonus car) there you must you use a fast car I used the Gumpert.
Add Cash is not working for me either. Maybe its just because I can't really get the cash to buy another car? I tried buying parts, but it didn't do anything, and I just can't get very far into this game with the horrible - HORRIBLE controls. I made it a little better with the sensitivity settings.. but whatever. Can't say I'm glad I bought this game right now
