Let's all take a deep breath and repeat after me: "It's only a game."

As has been said, if games were 100% realistic, they wouldn't be much fun. Or games. Sure, some games give you a limited amount of carry space, or make you able to carry only two weapons at a time, but really... that kinda takes the fun out of blowing up everything in a game world.

As for technical details like being able to see some kind of body attached to your camera when you look down, well, the addition of that usually puts more strain on the resources of your system, especially with a game utilizing high-end graphics already. Leaving it out makes it more playable in the literal and technical sense.

The thing is, there isn't much future proofing in crysis 2. The fact that i'm play it on max with a rather average system is, although wonderful, also abit disappointing.
Crysis 1 managed to future proof it since on release it pushed most high-end systems to the limit. This can be testified with the game still holding up graphically with most of the latest game releases years later.

Crysis2 may not have the dx11 stuff in it yet, but by all accounts the leap is far, far shorter than its predecessor.

Adding those details like bodypart attachments and such would increase rendering needed obviously, but if that means you can make the game stand the test of time a few years down the road and still blow away competition with its visual prowess and become the new 'benchmark', then why not?

Also, *insert generic complaint about console ports*.

Hey, everyone is doing it, right?

I know its a game but lol sometimes you just cant help but wonder how really...also realistically or not, it would be hilarious to see someone catch Alcatraz pee-ing in a toliet somewhere in wrecked-city New york or that he suddenly needs to go and **** in the middle of a fight lOl...i would love to see his expression behind the suit.

Also i doubt nanomachines or anything can explain the magically appearing weapon mods. Unless he somehow manages to cloak a back pack and carry it around...

someone could make a comedy movie out of this....

In game/movie/TV culture...Heroes are well...NOT exactly human. They defy the laws of nature (mainly physics) and logic. Come to think of it, why would I want to see Alcatraz take a dump...LOL. Heroes need no dumping!

But the pocket part is a mystery to me though...

And i wondered why i can still see my shadow clear as day when stealthed. If anything, there should be a faint mottle of a shadow and nothing else. Shame really, fixing little details like that often make a good game, great.

This really bothered me... A shadow is running around, but enemies doesn't even notice it?

A tiny detail really, but it really really bothered me.

Does anyone know the theory of nanomachines?

Well in theory, these things are able to break down and rebuild anything, which means, the suit could have a very limited storage, and yet be able to hold every piece of gear that Alcatraz has, since it the stuff has been reduced to dust by the nanomachines.

The shadow thing well i've wondered about that, and had fun it with.
