Okay figured out a work around, at least for my situation. Ignore the instructions to load the trainer first and F1 at the main menu. Instead, load the game and when in the actual game alt-tab to get out to the desktop and launch the trainer. Second, return to the game press F1 and the trainer should work. As I said this solved my problems, might not solve for others. Just posting to help ya all. Read a detail on what the new patch introduced and one line says anti-cheating measures. Think my problems are coming from that but not sure.

i also had a problem with the trainer 1.4 but.....

i ran both trainer and game NOT in admin mode (VISTA 64)
Problem solved everything went stable,
4 hour play singleplayer not a BUG

its seems everytime i use a CHtrainer and game in admin i get conflicts.
now the funny part... I am the admin, No users, only me
I actually never wanted to understand The Vista OS

I installed the game and the trainer didn't work at all. Always crashed the game.
I was on version 1.1 and tried to update to 1.2 and 1.4 without any success.

I also tried to run the game and the trainer on admin (and in compatibility mode). didn't work either.

Please, help me. =(

Windows 7 - 64bits.

Okay, so I have gone through the trainer help file, the troubleshooter, the included documentation, and I cannot get this to work.

I am running Crysis 2 1.4.0.0, through Steam. I load the trainer before the game, launch the game, and press F1.

Once I do that, the trainer just loops on and off - it continuously says Activated, Deactivated, Activated, Deactivated - it runs in a loop. The trainer is rendered useless since it doesn't stay on. It loops so fast that it can't even say the entire word "Deactivated" before it says "Activated" again - it almost sounds like it is saying "she made me play it".

I have also tried launching the game, loading a save, Alt+Tab to desktop, loading trainer, going back into the game, and F1 - same thing happens.

I went through all the FAQs, troubleshooting, etc. before posting...

EDIT: I also have tried running it as admin as as not admin. No difference.

disable/uninstall all AV, firewall and other security software.

Tried all of that - antivirus taken off, all firewalls off, no other security software running. I have tried all four ways:

1: Non-admin, start trainer, start game, main menu, F1
2: Admin, start trainer, start game, main menu, F1
3: Non-admin, start game, Alt+Tab to desktop, start trainer, back to game, F1
4: Same as 3, except as admin.

I've tried a lot of different ways of making it work - nothing works!

Something on your system is interfering with the trainer's operation. Most likely security software of some sort. You can also try installing the combined community codec pack.

Installed CCCP, rebooted for good measure. I have absolutely no other security software installed - I built the system from the ground up, and I know there is no security stuff besides the (now uninstalled) antivirus.

I also tried going the extra step of running Steam in admin mode, and again as not.

Any more suggestions? I signed up for unlimited pretty much for this trainer!

EDIT: Also, sorry that I am being such a pain - I just want this to work!
