Fenris hates magisters and automatically he believes that any unchained or un-tranquil mage is a potential magister. As you know almost all magisters are evil as a result of their thirst for power in their society. So just go with every line which basically means "Mages bad, Templar good" if you don't want him to turn on you.
    Ayy lmao

mmm, not so. i went save the mages route, even if i wasn't intending to. he left me at the initial confrontation with the big kaboom scene, and a bit later on i told him 'hey, guess what, i want you back over here cause you'd kick my butt all over the place'(not exact option, or even paraphrase). one line of diologue and he's like 'yup, sorry. i'll be with them again. apologies for the confusion.'

    note: did require full rival

so he would turn, but if you have full rival, choosing the right option will bring him back to your side.

hmm i went for having all my people at the .. not rivalry side.

Fenris was hard .. i didnt get him max blue side.. but in the end i got him on my side by reminding him that he hates slavery and slavers ultimately. so he joined me anyways. and then i was probably just under the middle bar.

Doesn't need full. I managed the same at about halfway there.
