Has anyone had this experience? I was getting gold and everything was fine.. Then I went Bioware's site to see if any updates were around. There was a Hi Def plugin, and after that I have been unable to get gold, I uninstalled an reinstalled the game, and now I'm getting freeze ups and crashes. I searched for this problem, but no go. Any and all help appreciated. Thanks.

The freezing and crashing due to the trainer usage? Or due to the Hi-Def pack?

If the Hi-Def pack its only for directx 11 and 1GB GPU's.
Oh and Don't forget some tuts on ASM and defeating DMA

The rest of the trainer works great! I think it's the Hi-Def pack. I also upgraded my Nvidia GeForce GTX260 driver, so that may play into this, as well. Thanks for the support.

I would say its the Hi-Def pack that is causing the problem for you. Your graphics driver should not be a problem for this.

Its definetly strange, that a simple data package would cause problems.

It is more likely to be the settings of the game that is the culprit, as you have to assign the use of the hi-def pack.

Which will only work under DX11 and the GPU must be 1GB at least, and the 260 was not a DX11 card.

I dont think I can test it on mine. Am an ATI Mob hd-2400

    My card spec's --> Link

I might be wrong. I do not build PC's no more so let my knowledge slip. *e.g. to lazy to keep up to date*

Which will only work under DX11 and the GPU must be 1GB at least, and the 260 was not a DX11 card.

Here are the specs on my card, taken from the configuration program in DA2:

    Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 975 @ 3.33Ghz
Clock Speed: 3333 MHz Physical Memory: 5.990GB
Display Adapter: NVIDIA GeForce GTX260 VRAM: 1.75 GB
    Driver version: 258.96
Sound Adapter: Speakers (Creative SB X-FI)
    Driver Version: 6.1.1347
    Software:
    O.S. Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate
DirectX Version: DirectX 11 (Jun20010) or later

I couldn't recognize the GPU with any of these specs. I've never looked for it before.

If it is the data pack, do you have any idea how I might uninstall it from my machine? I don't mind uninstalling the game again. As usual, special thanks to you and thanks to anyone else that's answered this post.

The latest stable graphic driver for your card is 266.58 (or 267.24 beta driver), try updating it. Since your card can only handle directx10, the max graphic detail setting you can use is on "high" with renderer set to directx11. The "very high" setting required a directx11 capable card. As for the hi-res option, you should see no problem if you enabled it with latest driver.
