I didn't say that it WOULD work, I said that it MIGHT work as it has worked on other games in the past. We have not been able to replicate this issue and many others do not have the issue at all.

I also hear this sound, I figured it was part of the game to tell you that your're in combat as that is when it only happens.

I don't have the sound issue, except for once when jumping from fight to cutscene with a little whining pitch. But was gone after a few seconds, its more likely with the game and sound card you have.

My game's speech is very quiet for instance, but every other sound is normal level. Quite annoying :P

Nothing to do with the trainer.

Annoying that the demo was fine, but game isn't.

The speech is very quiet in my game too! And I too have problems with the whining noise when entering combat.

Am tying to remember what I did with an issue like that other than driver updates. I remember messing about with the sound ratio mhz etc etc. I think I had to turn it down cause I was always maxed.

Updating the driver for my Realtek did nothing, and i'm still getting that annoying sound. Every so often the music will come back, but it is fleeting.

    Nothing to do with trainer..

    social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/300/index/6442833

Others have the same issue :P

    EDIT: Here is some fixes..

    1. For those getting the violin sound, use the force stereo option.

    2. For those with quiet speech (only in Vista and 7) ALT+TAB out the game and goto the sound settings in your task bar it should show DA2, move the slider to normal and mess around with music and ambient sound values in the options but keep dialogue up full. If on XP look for some free programs like Indie Volume so you can do this
