Dragon Age II Message Board  

I have a store bought retail version of this game with the high res texture pack installed. When I run the hack and press F1 it does not say activated as a matter of fact it says nothing. I have been using hacks for more bloody years than most of you have been alive.

I have started it first then the game, same issue.
I have started the game then started the trainer, same issue.
I have moved the trainer into the installation folder and same issue as both of the above.
I have started the game with the launcher and with the direct game exe same issue as above
I have started the game using steam (I have steam linked to the shortcut) and same issue as all of the above.

I have never had this issue before on any trainer. Is the reason this isnt working due to the High res texture patch I downloaded? The game is version 1.00 (says so at top of first menu screen)

I do not have any firewall turned on, I do have internet access, I do not have antivirus installed.

Ok I have actually fixed the problem.

In order to activate the trainer the game must be in Windowed mode. It cannot be full screen.

The trainer must be alt-tabbed to be in the foreground.

Press F1 and the trainer will find the game and activate.

I have never had to do this with any other hack or trainer I have ever used. I am grateful that the trainer is here, but what a pain in the to get the trainer to work.

You can fix your problems by starting the trainer with administrator rights. This should fix your issues.

i have the retail version and all just like you but dont need to be in window mode to start the trainer other than that glade you got it to work
