Been using the trainer last night for tyranid, orcs, chaos, and sm with no real problems or crashes, but a warning that I've been disconnected from the steam network pops up every so often... Not sure if its the trainer's fault.
I think we're getting closer to determining why some are crashing. There are different versions of the same exe being sent out by Steam, possibly based on whether or not you have all of the wargear DLC addons or not. We're currently examining one of the different exe's to see if the trainer can be adapted to it. More info soon.

Anybody else had the same lovely moment when you played 8 hours straight campaign and after closing game you had "Pre Load" completed and you have to wait till release date?
"Some customers in certain countries had an early unlock for Dawn of War II: Retribution. Incorrect release date information caused the early activations of Retribution in Spain, Portugal, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Malta. These early activations have been reversed.
We sincerely apologize for this mix up and any inconvenience caused. These activations will be turned on again on March 4th, which is the official release date in these territories."
You can't imagine my feelings when I found out that I have to wait another couple of days, especially now that trainer is out.
But thanks for the trainer, checking it in two-three days when game is RE-RELEASED!
Previous trainer worked fine for me with what little I've tested, played each race during the prologue map and first "star system" view with a new game on easy, exited to main menu and repeated for each of the six races as said.
Trainer activated during the logo videos, Steam is fully up to date (Just finished a small beta test so now everyone should have the same base client again.) Steam Overlay and Steam Cloud are both disabled as much as possible which might be why it works unless it's difficulty related or as mentioned above there are different exe files. (CEG2 protected via Steam so each exe is slightly customized and individual though from how I've understood it but Mafia 2 and Civ 5 have worked just fine and they use the same system amongst other games and even use anti-cheat routines rather strictly, or at least Mafia 2 does.)
Unsure if this is of any help, haven't re-downloaded the trainer but I assume this new version will function just as well, hopefully it also does solve the problem for those who do experience it crashing.
EDIT: CE version, have all Wargear. (But this is via serial and Steam account and nothing is downloaded or altered.)
