I could use some feedback on this as well, if possible test my promo version:
users.skynet.be/kemicza/kmz-dow2-Promo.zip
Let me know if that works for anybody. There should be no difference between mine or Calibers trainer, but I'm curious to see where the problem is (why it works for some, and for others it doesn't).. Maybe it's an anti-cheat protection that activates randomly, just to confuse us :P
But so far trainer works, and confirmed by two people.
Thanks
kemicza

Hello, I'm fear that Steam may update the game to make trainer as not render anymore and lose $5. No way to recover the original version via Steam unless you are going backup of original version but not sure if you are required to connect online to verify the backup that has restored to your hard drive. Once when game trigger updating so no way to cancel or switch to offline mode because game need to be completely updated to play in offline mode, that what I believe so.
If your trainer include free update for paid members so shouldn't be problem.
Disable auto-update on Steam is joke because Steam will trigger update if you click "play".

@xxApolloxx -- have you tried with DEP on/off ?
DEP On/off made no difference for me as well. I just tested it again, both with a universal off setting and settings for steam/dow2.exe/the trainer itself.
It may also be an issue with the game, fyi. From what I see on the modding forums, certain people are also unable to launch the game into dev mode, while others have no issue. It may have something to do with the game and certain configurations of computers.

I have same problem with developer mode too, I tried to put -dev but caused game to crash.
Only PW/Cal trainer works fine.
Okay so get this one right? everything is working fine, games loading with no problems and everything works.
Except the very instant I load the trainer my Space marine characters instantly start doing just stupidly low damage, I mean cultists are out lasting my marines.
If I didn't know better I'd say this was some kind of anti cheat mesure.
i've played many skirmishes and 3 campaign missions with the trainer with NOTHING like this going on...
i don't think this is an anti-cheat measure. the anti-cheat would just crash your game or cause it to lock up.
my 2 cents-
best,
Cal
