So as Microsofts latest promise for Fable 3 on PC is to release May 17 ( information from gamespot) is coming closer i wanted to ask one thing. Fable - The Lost Chapters was done ( with a delay ofc ) for PC and it was great. Fable 2 skipped the PC part and now they are releasing Fable 3 on PC. So the question is...is the storyline flowing throughout the series (like say Mass Effect) or is every episode different ( a'la Mafia and Mafia 2 )? Cause if the storyline is flowing then PC users will have a huge chunk of story just...missing...And hell no im not gonna go buy myself an XBOX just to play this.

Thanks in advance to all who care to answer!

can't say i'm really looking forwaard to this version, was'nt really impressed with the 360, that being said, i'd still be curious to see what if any improvements have been made over its console brethren, as for the release date, i'll believe it when i see it, considering both versions were supposed to be released at the same time last year.

Well It maybe better that they postponed the PC version of Fable III to May, as I recall the Xbox 360 version had a save corrup problem, before they releas a patch, so Im hoping for better graphic, and DLC's in the PC version and a good port, well Microsoft said with this title that they will mark the begining of saving PC platform..........again, so sure hope they don't screw it up!

As it stands no dlc for the pc release. Only a advanced hardcore mode. As for the graphics they claim they been redone. We will see.

as i recall the biggest complaint about the dlc for fable 3 was it was ridiculously easy, the enemy levels weren't increased at all, hopefully they've spent all this time fixing bugs that plagued the 360 game, i hated having to rely on friends having the game in order to collect all the weapons in the game.

And still i'd like to get an answer to my question guys

Is there a unified storyline throughout the Fable series or is every game a standalone story with a little connection here and there to the earlier games?

they can be played seperately, but some things do return in every game, since it's the same land every game, just years later every time

the land changes from era to era, in the firs game, i'm not sure what era you'd call it in comparison to history, but the second one certainly seemed more like the victorian era, it's supposed to take place 500 years after the first game, there's some small references to the first game, but mostly it's a seperate story, the third isn't as big a leap forward taking place only 50 years after the second, it's a little more connected the 2nd game than the 2nd was to the 1st as you play as the younger son of the king who was the hero of fable 2, and again there's some small references to the last game, but for the most it's a stand alone story, and you don't have to play any of them in order, i would recomend playing them all however quite good in their own way. i belive the first 2 fable games are available for purchase on xbox live.
