As the title says, I'm looking for decent, free, and easy-to-use software for the simple use of making AMV's. Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

Well there's always movie maker .
But if you want something better try wax 2.0. It's much better than MM and you can edit and export in HD.
Alternately you could try Adobe Premiere. If you download the trial from the Adobe site you'll have it for a month.
