I have the game and lastest trainer running on both of my computers. On my desktop which is using Win 7 32-bit, the trainer works perfectly but on my laptop that is running Win 7 64-bit the trainer crashes every single time. The game plays perfectly on a 64-bit OS but not with the trainer running. If the trainer has problems running in 64-bit is there a way to get the trainer to work on my laptop? Anyone else having a similar problem?

I run the game on my desktop with Win 7 64 bit with no problems. Maybe your anti-virus or firewall is causing problems on your laptop? What are your laptop specs?
EA is the anti-Midas touch company. Everything they touch turns to garbage.

I'm using Microsofts Security Essentials on both machines. My laptop is a Gateway NV79. It has a I7 620m processor, 8 GBs of RAM. All my other games and CH trainers work fine on this computer just not ME2's trainer for some reason.

i had the game crash to every time but i found out it was other software that wasent playing nice with mass effect 2 so i turned of every 3rd party software like asus smartdoctor and SRS wow HD also the desktop gadgets so basicly everything except the game and AV was running and then it ran fine with no problems or anything so might try that as mass effect seems to have a lot of issues with other software running.

hope it works the same for you.

Hmmm, I would recommend what chaosx did. Start turning off 3rd party programs and see if that helps. Good luck

Yeah I will try that, just noticed there is a whole of bunch of stuff running in the background - alot of it is unecessary programs related to the laptop that I don't need. I want to get the game and the cheats running on the laptop for the sole reason I can plug the laptop into my larger LCD TV

Thanks for all the help and words of encouragement people

I can't believe how these cheats have increased my enjoyment of this truly awesome game.

Unless your running a laptop with a DECENT dedicated GPU, outing to a larger Monitor/TV wouldnt be a good idea as it would greatly hinder performance.

Not sure if youve tried but you could also try running the trainer as administrator and see if that does anything, i didnt have any problems using the trainer on Vista x64.

As for the un-needed programs, you could use a startup manager to get rid of un-needed programs running at startup and of course Uninstall any programs that came with the laptop that are not important.

Using a program like Gamebooster from iobit would also help when it comes to laptops and low-mid end desktops so you may want to give that a try as well.

My laptop is pretty decent for gaming, has an ATI Radeon 5650 1 GB card as well as 8 GIGs of system RAM and other games play perfectly through my TV.

One of the first things I tried was running the trainer in Admin mode as well as other compatability settings, but made no difference.

I have Gamebooster but didn't use it, but I will try it to see if it makes a difference and will also an app like CC Cleaner to turn off/uninstall unecessary crap running in the background.
