Anno 1404: Dawn of Discovery Message Board  

Hi everyone!

I have the latest patch for Anno 1404 (1.3) and I have tried to edit the money. I can find the value but it just doesn't seem to change it.

I have done it before with other patches and games but cannot with this one.

Any ideas?

Have you tired using art money? It is free to use.
U can also use it to change the population numbers of each type of person in the game. Which is very useful if you dont want to have to keep letting bums into your homes. lol

Thanks for the suggestion but yeah I have tried ArtMoney. Still doesn't work. I am using Windows 7 64 bit... Could that be the reason?

It's not that simple. Some games hiding the values by writing the money amount by some formula in memory not the exact value, for example maximal_value "minus" actual_difference_between_maximal_and_players_money "gives" proper_player_money. You won't find the money value by simple "exact value find". But it's just the start of big problem with game parameters addresses finding in memory. It's the one of the reasons why You should appreciate work of the "cheat happens" team, that much .

In this case the simple solution is finding an amount of cargo in cargo hold selected ship. For example You loading 40 units of goods some kind into a ship, swim that ship to a trader. Search 40, sell 5 units of that good, find 35 and so on. After several attempts You should localize address in memory. Freeze it and sell the goods on and on. But remember to sell only max. 39 units on one time to prevent game crash. Before next sell attempt You will still get 40 units of the good in cargo hold. Should help until the trainer wil show up. And respect for trainer makers one more time .
